How do I turn on PostMimic Agent Mode safely?
Agent Mode handles replies and engagement only, and only in the Mac app. It does not draft or publish posts. Posts go out on a schedule you set, in your voice, with your brand rules.
What Agent Mode does
Agent Mode is for replies and engagement. It lives in the Mac app. It does not write your posts, and it does not publish them.
What it does not do:
- Draft posts
- Publish posts
- Run on iPhone, iPad, Windows, or the web portal
- Replace the brand rules on posts your schedules publish
Auto-reply to mentions is live. DM auto-reply is being re-verified. The iPhone and iPad apps do not include DMs. Use the web portal or the desktop app for inbox replies.
Posts publish on a schedule
Original posts are not an Agent Mode job. Connect a place to publish, and a schedule writes and publishes in your voice. Brand rules you set apply to every post. There is no per-post approval step.
Before you turn Agent Mode on
- Import or connect real posts, so replies sound like you.
- Set brand rules for topics, tone, and forbidden phrases.
- Use the Mac app. Agent Mode is not in the iPhone, iPad, Windows, or web apps.
- Keep one identity per profile.
How to pull back
- Turn Agent Mode off in the Mac app.
- Mention auto-reply stops when that option is off.
- Scheduled posts keep publishing on the schedule you set. Turning Agent Mode off does not stop those posts.
Who should hold the off switch
Name one person who may enable or disable Agent Mode and change brand rules. Use the Mac app to change Agent Mode. Scheduled posting is separate, and it keeps running.
